David Giangano, President of Global Channels
David Giangano is co-founder of Juma and President of Global Channels for the Company's SIP-based carrier services subsidiary. In this capacity, Giangano is responsible for building the sales channel and managing strategic relationships.
Prior to assuming the role as President of Global Channels, Giangano served as President of Juma. Under Giangano's leadership, Juma established a reputation as the industry leader in IP Convergence. The Company increased its revenue by 2,782% over the past five years (2002-2006), which led to a No. 62 ranking in the Deloitte Fast 500, a list representing the fastest growing technology companies in North America.
Before co-founding Juma, Giangano was the founder and CEO of a data and application development company, which was later acquired by 5B Technologies Corporation; an IT systems integration and infrastructure company. Giangano stayed on at 5B as the company's Senior Vice-President of Engineering and Systems Services. In this role, he led the company's profitable engineering division and managed 60+ technical staff members.
Previously, Giangano spent 10 years in various positions of increasing responsibility with the Northrop Grumman Corporation, including Senior Design Engineer, Technical Specialist and Project Leader. Giangano worked at Northrop Grumman's Nuclear & Plasma Sciences Directorate, where he developed advanced data acquisition and analysis applications for multiple organizations. Namely, he was credited with developing various types of sensor technologies for the United States Military.
Giangano holds multiple patents in disciplines ranging from data encryption to specialized data acquisition and digital signal processing applications. His technical works have been published in NASA and the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) journals and magazines.
Giangano earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Farleigh Dickenson University.
