Joseph Cassano, Executive Vice-President of Sales
Joseph Cassano is Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Sales for Juma Technology. In this capacity, Cassano leads the direct sales team and is responsible for sales, productivity, business partner relations and support programs that drive Juma's growth strategy.
Prior to joining Juma, Cassano was the Area Vice-President of Sales for Expanets, the nation's largest provider of converged communications for mid-sized businesses (the company has since been acquired by Avaya). In this role, Cassano maintained overall management responsibility for the New York sales team and directed revenue activities across the company's broad services portfolio, encompassing a variety of manufacturers, service providers, carriers and application developers contributing to converged communications solutions. Cassano was credited with leading the team responsible for implementing a nationwide employee retention program designed for the company's 3,000+ associates based in more than 100 offices throughout the U.S.
Previously, Cassano was the Director of Sales at Lucent Technology. There, he managed six disparate teams representing nearly 50 sales executives. He was responsible for driving $48M in annual revenue for the company. Cassano successfully exceeded yearly revenue projection goals during his tenure. He also held the positions of Territory and Branch Manger for Lucent.
Cassano spent 12 years as a Sales Manager for AT&T, the largest communications holding company in the United States and Worldwide. For over a decade, Cassano consistently exceeded yearly revenue goals and helped drive company growth.
Cassano began his career in 1980 with The New York Telephony Company, now known as Verizon Communications.
