Joseph Fuccillo, President and Chief Technology Officer
Joseph Fuccillo is Co-Founder, President and Chief Technology Officer for Juma Technology. In this capacity, Fuccillo is charged with the company's overall business operations. He is also responsible for guiding the company's technology direction. Fuccillo leads Juma's labs and research, encompassing the development, evaluation and selection of products and vendors, and is responsible for the company's business and go-to-market strategies.
As Juma's CTO, Fuccillo is credited with overseeing the design and implementation of hundreds of VoIP solution integrations both nationally and internationally; bringing converged networking to the forefront of the industry.
Before co-founding Juma Technology, Fuccillo was highly influential in creating and shaping the IT infrastructure for hundreds of organizations as a private IT consultant. Fuccillo specialized in evaluating open systems, network topologies and storage platforms, and creating a consolidation strategy for equipment, facilities and personnel. During this time, Fuccillo was tapped by the largest electronic stock exchange, NASDAQ, which executed his recommendations to drive millions in savings from their IT budget. Fuccillo is credited with designing some of the most fault-tolerant, geographically load balanced applications and web applications to drive system productivity for a range of businesses. He has also provided systems design and implementation services to most of the major telecommunications carriers.
Previously, Fuccillo was Vice-President of Xand Corporation. There, he transitioned the company from a white box manufacturer to an ISP and hosted service provider, with a strong focus on storage solutions. During the migration to managed services, Fuccillo built a diverse, multi-carrier BGP route and optimized network, an EMC2 and IBM SAN for storage on demand, a managed Check Point and Cisco PIX security solution offering, along with dozens of hosted applications. He also architected replication and virtualization solutions for business continuity and oversaw the construction of a carrier-class data center.
During his tenure at Westcon, Fuccillo was charged with creating an integration lab to develop processes for the configuration/ integration of multiple products and enable pre-configured shipments of network architectures. He later became tier-3 support for US Robotics, Zylogics and Bay Networks, and handled all pre and post sales engineering. Fuccillo was later promoted to Director of all Technical Services, presiding over more than a dozen manufacturers and product-lines distributed by Westcon.
Fuccillo is also highly regarded in the market as a trusted consultant to today's major manufacturers and vendors. He is regularly called on to impart knowledge and counsel on product development, strategies and architectures.
Fuccillo began his career as a communications analyst with Orange and Rockland Utilities. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College and maintains multiple industry certifications.
